Solar Power Support For Cornwall's Most Sustainable Villages

Plug Into The Sun is delighted to have supported "Cornwall Rural Community Council and SITA UK's Sustainable Village of the Year 2010."

Managing Director Andy Tanner says,

"It's a privilige to be sponsoring such a great new competition which identifies and celebrates the various ways in which rural communities across Cornwall are working together to provide a more sustainable future for themselves."

Plug Into The Sun has donated solar torches to all the finalists, with Tregothnan presenting trees.

The competition itself was a closely fought contest but the eventual winner was Ladock and Grampond Road with St Breward second and St Merryn third.

Congratulations go to all the nominated villages and their esidents as wellas to the organizers for implementing such a fantastic new scheme. Plug Into The Sun prides itself on its ethos of sustainability and environmental responsibility through education. Andy Tanner concludes,

"With this project, hopefully the message and much enthusiasm for sustainability will be spread across Cornwall."
