Plug into the Sun are now in Milton Keynes

Date: 8 May 2012

Cornwall's leading solar PV installation company has just moved into the technologically advanced I2 offices in the heart of Milton Keynes.

Plug into the Sun were established in 2004 and have installed solar PV on over 600 buildings totalling over 2MW. With an impressive portfolio of work that ranges from small domestic installations to high profile public sector work, Plug into the Sun has a history of excellence and experience.

Work includes installations for councils, hospitals, housing associations, businesses, community groups and homeowners. The quality and innovative nature of their work on The Eden Project in Cornwall and a hospital has been recognised and Plug into the Sun has been shortlisted for two awards in the Annual British Renewable Energy Awards in the ‘Flagship’ category.

The pioneering company has also been shortlisted for the BusinessGreen Leader Award in the Renewable Energy Project of the Year category for their work with Peru based charity Global Education.

Managing Director of Plug into the Sun, Andrew Tanner, said: “We apply the same level of expertise and customer care to all our projects, ensuring that installations are delivered on time and on budget.

“I am really excited about the new MK office. We are in this business for the long term and are committed to bringing a valuable renewable resource to as many people as possible. The great thing about solar PV is that it makes energy where it is being consumed, saving bills and offsetting Carbon Dioxide emissions.

“It also protects from future energy price increases, requires no maintenance and is guaranteed for at least 25 years. Even with the reduction in the feed in tariff there’s still a fantastic rate of return available. We don’t employ sales men, the technology sells itself. We employ site surveyors who are trained to assess the buildings on the suitability of solar PV and discuss the client’s requirements.”

Martin Procter is the new regional manager for Milton Keynes and is happy to be working closely with premium German PV manufacturers, CONERGY, who also have a base at the ‘Green’ Grade A, BREEAM accredited I2 building.

Martin said: “This is a great opportunity for us to work together and provide customers with the best of the best. As an introductory offer we are able to install 4 kWp systems using top quality components for £7999 including VAT for systems booked before the end of May. This is a great deal and will offer a return on investment of between 10 and 15% for 25 years, index linked and tax free!”
