This is the first school in the UK to have a solar PV installation from LBCP II funding. An electronic display in reception shows energy generated and the carbon dioxide saved.
Background
This is the first school in the UK to have a solar PV installation using Phase 2 funding from the Low Carbon Building Programme (LCBP). We created a custom sign in reception with an electronic display showing the energy generated by the system and the carbon dioxide saved.
Objective
The objective was to provide education about solar power.
Funding
The installation has been funded by the Low Carbon Building Programme (LCBP) Phase 2, Somerset County Council and the school's own funds.
