This house presented an interesting problem to solve: an installation on a flat roof.
To maximise the efficiency of the panels, we elevated them using a purpose-built galvanised steel frame which is fixed into the side walls of the building and rests on the roof using rubber feet. The system provides 100% of the home owner's electricity needs.
Location
St Ives, Cornwall
Objective
The home owner's objective was to offset all her electrical bill and carbon dioxide emissions.
Funding
The installation has been 50% funded by the Low Carbon Building Programme (LCBP) and 50% funded by the home owner.
