Visit by the European Energy Minister
Andy Tanner met with the European Energy Minister, Andris Pibalgs, in July during an event organised by the Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership. Mr Pibalgs and other commissioners toured Cornwall visiting numerous sustainable energy projects including the ground source heat pumps installed in Ludgvan.
Pictured with Andy Tanner and Andreas Pilbags are representatives from Penwith District Council, Penwith Housing Association, Earth Energy, and Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership.
During a presentation the Minister also found out about the solar PV installation undertaken in St Levan.

He was very interested in the project and spoke to Andy Tanner about the benefits of solar PV within the affordable housing context. He commended the project and the benefits of reducing CO2 emissions and saving money for tenants. He also asked for a quote for his house in Brussels!
